CSR Projects

Greenpop is an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to (re)connect people with our planet and each other. We plant trees and have fun doing it!

We work on urban greening, agroforestry and reforestation projects, spread environmental awareness, and activate people through green festivals, adventure trips and workshops. Greenpop was founded in 2010 and has since planted over 66,000 trees at schools and other urban sites as well as forests and farms across South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania.

It’s a Treevolution. Get involved!

Nelson Mandela Day – book drive

Nelson Mandela Book Drive

SAACI has confirmed that the Nelson Mandela Foundation book project will continue even after the congress with the support of more than 600 companies members across South Africa and Africa. The association believes that this will allow its members to play an active role in their local communities even in a small way.

All delegates attending the congress are encouraged to bring books with them when they come to the congress. Those books will be donated to a local charity/school in Mangaung after the congress, this is part of SAACI’s 2016 CSI project for Nelson Mandela Day.

The project will however still continue after the congress for delegates to donate books that will be donated to other schools.
