Tamlynne Wilton has more than 16 years’ experience in the conference industry, locally and internationally, having worked on some of South Africa’s largest conferences and campaigns. She has a degree in psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand and developed a keen interest in neuropsychology and consumer behaviour. She also has six years’ experience facilitating the Marketing Module for the Higher Certificate in Management course, run by the Foundation for Professional Development (FPD), a Private Higher Education Institute, focussing on social marketing and behaviour.
Tamlynne headed up FPD’s conference division for five years before joining MCI, a global association and event management company, as Director of Marketing and Business Development, the first MCI employee in Africa. After two years at MCI, Tamlynne founded IDna (pronounced idea-NA), a creative marketing agency.
Her background in psychology gives her a deep understanding of the human mind and decision making. She believes that events provide a powerful platform to inspire audiences and effect change, and combines her knowledge of psychology, marketing and sociology to create touchpoints that are truly unforgettable.
